I have been a professional photographer since 2008. I started out photographing anything and everything, but soon found that weddings were my passion. My shooting style has been described as “fun,” “professional,” “really, you want me to do that?” and, “seriously, like, lie down on the ground?”.
My experience isn’t just in the past. I still spend time studying techniques and taking classes not just on photography, but also on how to run a successful photography business that will best serve you, my clients. I do my research on what couples want out of their wedding photographer, and keep up with the latest trends in style and posing (though I still cover the classics as well).
Devoting time to certain causes is also important to me. I have volunteered my time and talents to several local non-profit organizations. I am a very vocal supporter of equal rights for the LGBT community, including the ever-media-present marriage equality movement. I have had the pleasure of photographing same-sex weddings, and hope to be a part of more in the near future.
When I’m not out photographing, or at my computer editing and studying, I can usually be found curled up in my office armchair reading a book, or sitting on the couch watching [insert sci-fi show here]. I will tell you I hate running, but I can be found in my nearby park almost every morning taking a couple laps and listening to my “Zombies, Run” app. And don’t even mention Harry Potter or Doctor Who unless you have hours to listen to me talk. Seriously, I’m such a nerd.
If you’re looking for an experienced photographer who is also fun and awesome to hang out with, contact me.
